This story sucked me in from sentence one, but mostly what I love about it is its creativity: POSSESSED CHRISTMAS LIGHTS??? DAMN! I sat there wishing I'd thought of that myself. It also changes up Poe's "unreliable narrator" concept--instead of seeing inside the character's head, we infer he's unreliable from just his dialogue. And oh, yes, dialogue: anybody that can delight me with a tale that's completely told in dialogue is a winner in my book. It's really hard to do. Love this story, and hope you have as much fun reading it as I did.
